Monday 13 May 2019 at 6:00 – TRAFFIC UPDATE: N2 CLOSED AT GRABOUW DUE TO UNREST
The N2 is closed at Sir Lowry’s Pass on the Gordon’s Bay and Grabouw ends due to unrest and protest action in the Grabouw area.
In Gordon’s Bay Provincial Traffic are on hand to divert motorists through Clarence Drive via the R44 on to Kleinmond. Similarly, Overstrand Traffic are redirecting road users at the R44/R43 crossing through Kleinmond.

Eco Packaging and Products
While it is excellent to see more and more types of plastic being recycled, there are two important reasons why biodegradable is better. Firstly, compostable packaging is made from renewable plant material and secondly it returns to its natural elements in composting environments.
Most food packaging is plastic or contains plastic. According to this Treevolution, only 17% of plastic gets recycled. Some ends up in landfills where it stays for generations and the rest pollutes our environment and our seas.
For this reason most of out products are Biodegradable or Compostable. Compostable materials are similar to biodegradable materials, as they are both intended to return to the earth safely. However, compostable materials go one step further by providing the earth with nutrients once the material has completely broken down.

We will meet again for our next monthly hack on Saturday 25 May 2019. As usual it will be on the pavement opposite Drosters Centre, in Central Avenue, Pringle Bay, at 08:30 where after we will proceed to the hack site. The hack stops at 11:30. Everyone who would like to help rid Pringle Bay of alien vegetation will be welcome. Hacking tools are provided. Contact Chris at (028) 273 8588, or just turn up at the meeting point.

Water leak
Sunday, 12 May 2019 at 11:15 – UPDATE ON THE WATER SUPPLY/LEAKS IN PRINGLE BAY
Confirmation has been received that the leak at Oliver/Olga Rds in Pringle Bay has been attended to and the water supply there is now restored.
Residents in the area may experience a somewhat reduced flow at first, but that will increase as the water pressure starts to build.
Your patience during the time of repair is greatly appreciated.
