The meeting went smoothly. The community leaders will give feedback to their members. The people who errected illegal structures were given time until tomorrow afternoon 14:00 to remove it. The Red Ants are ONLY here to assist with service delivery. SAPS will maintain a high presence as long as deemed necessary. Cases were opened against perpetrators and arrests will follow. The Ministery will give feedback to the community in two weeks time.

The fire is currently being doused by the Fire Brigade’s helicopter.
The Overstrand’s Mayor, Mr. Roedolf Smith spent the whole day in Kleinmond.
The Mayor and the Human Rights Commissioner, Mr. Chris Nissen, addressed the residents and came to an agreement to meet with the Over Hills Committee tomorrow morning.
